You can invite external collaborators as Guests into a specific Jira space where the work lives—like a client project, vendor engagement, or partner initiative. Guests get a focused experience: they can view and update issues in that one space, comment, and stay in sync with your team, without needing full product access or navigating the rest of your Jira site.

Keep guests in-bounds with scoped access
Guest access is secure by design. Guests are scoped to a single space, and they can’t see your Goals, team directory, or other spaces and data across Jira. A clear “Guest” lozenge makes external users instantly recognizable to your team, so it’s always obvious when you’re working with someone outside your org. Admins stay in control of which spaces are open to guests, which work items they can interact with, and can remove access as soon as the engagement ends.
