A more powerful List view for the way your team actually works
List and All Work have merged into one view, simply called List. It keeps the clean, scannable layout you’re used to and brings in the more powerful capabilities that were previously split across both views: JQL, natural language search, full parent/child hierarchy, and advanced filtering. Plus, you can now save multiple list configurations so the whole team works from the same setup.
How it works
Find work the way that makes sense to you
List now gives you four ways to find and organize your work:
Dropdown filters for quick slicing
JQL for precise queries
Plain language search – type what you’re looking for (“show me in progress work assigned to me”) and the list updates instantly
Grouping to browse by the field that matters – reporter, labels, work type, and more
Whichever way you prefer to work, you can get to the right view faster.
See your full work hierarchy
Turning on hierarchy in List shows you the relationships between work items from epics down to subtasks, all in one place. You can expand to drill into details or collapse to focus on the big picture.
For teams on Premium and Enterprise, cross-space parent visibility is now supported, so you can see how your work connects to initiatives that live in other spaces without having to navigate away.
Edit and create without leaving the list
Now you can edit status, labels, priority, and more directly in line. You can also create new work items in the list and drag them into the right parent group or rerank them on the spot.
Save views your whole team can use
Space admins can create up to 10 saved list configurations per space, each with their own columns, filters, grouping, and sort order. A “Blocked Items” view, a “Sprint Review” view, a “QA Queue” – whatever your team needs is there waiting, for everyone, every time.
How to get started
Open any Jira space and go to List. The most powerful features are now combined in one, single List view.
To create a saved List view:
Go to the List view
Apply filters or search guidelines that match your desired configuration
Click
(Save or reset view settings) in the top right cornerClick Save list
Select Save
For admins: This is a migration. List and All work are now a single view across all Jira Cloud plans. Existing user preferences are preserved, and changeboarding guides your end users through the transition. They can carry over their old List preferences in two ways: a one-click migration the first time they open the merged view, or anytime from the More menu.
