Stop typing prompts. Show your agents what to do with Loom

AI agents promise to automate our most tedious workflows, but they have a massive bottleneck: human input. Getting an agent to execute a task like bringing a prototype to life, making a UI change, updating a design, requires critical visual context. Until now that meant text prompts, pasted screenshots, and rounds of back-and-forth when the agent missed something. The overhead of creating those prompts often offsets the time the agent was meant to save.

Loom eliminates this manual documentation by converting a standard screen recording into structured, machine-readable instructions with video prompts. By automatically parsing your narration, keyframes, target UI elements, and visited links, Loom produces an agent-ready action plan with structured instructions and data an AI agent needs to execute without the back-and-forth.

How it works

Video prompt mode is available in the Loom Chrome extension for users on a Loom Business + AI or Enterprise plan.

Go from idea to agent handoff in just a few steps:

  1. Where to find video prompts: Head to Loom.com and click “New video” to open the Chrome extension, or open the Loom Chrome extension directly. Look for the “Video prompt” mode in the Generate tab.

  2. Record your screen and talk through the task: In the Generate tab, start a recording in video prompt mode. Share your screen and narrate what you want done as you go. Loom captures your narration, on screen clicks, the links you visit, and snapshots of the screens you share.

  3. Loom builds the action plan: Loom turns your recording into an AI-ready specification: an action plan that pairs your narration with precise clicks, visited URLs, and visual keyframes – ready for an agent to execute with zero ambiguity.

  4. Hand the plan off to any agent: Share the action plan directly with Rovo or a third-party agent like Claude or Cursor, or, create Jira work items from the plan in a few clicks, with the full context already attached.

Tip: For best results, record for over 30 seconds so Loom has enough context to build a complete action plan.

Next time you spot a UI fix, need a design change, or want to create a prototype, record a video prompt with Loom to get structured instructions for an agent to execute.
