Teams can still create and customize their own spaces with no admin ticket, while fields, statuses, and cross-team reports stay consistent.

Global statuses now work in Jira team-managed spaces. Jira admins keep one catalog of approved statuses, and teams can add those statuses to their own workflows, board columns, and work items. Teams still customize their workflows however they like, and you end up with fewer duplicate statuses and JQL searches, dashboards, and reports that stay accurate across every space.

Field suggestions when you create work

Jira's new field suggestions recommend labels, assignee, parent, priority, components, and custom drop-down values when you create a work item. The suggestions are based on how similar work in your space has been filled out before. They only show up when Jira is confident, respect permissions, and are never filled in unless you accept them. They appear automatically in the create experience for sites with Rovo enabled.

Custom space templates in Jira are now on all paid plans, including Standard and Premium. Admins and team leads can turn their best team-managed space setups into reusable templates that include workflows, views, Rovo agents, automation rules, custom icons, and descriptions. Teams can then pick a template and get a fully set-up space in seconds.
