RELATED ROADMAP ITEMS: Turn Loom meetings into Jira updates

Teams talk through work item updates in every standup, planning session, and review. Who's picking up what, what's blocked, what's done. But after the meeting ends, someone still has to go into Jira and update each ticket manually.

Now, you can connect a Loom meeting to a Jira space. After the recording finishes, Rovo reviews the transcript, maps the decisions and action items to the actual work items in that space, and surfaces a batch of suggested updates. Review them, apply them, and move on. No more post-meeting admin.

How it works

Connect Loom Note Taker to your standup or planning session and link it to the relevant Jira space. This tells Rovo which work items to pay attention to. After the meeting is recorded and the transcript is ready, Rovo processes it automatically and generates update suggestions mapped to specific work items – no manual updates required.

  1. Updates come to you

The next time a relevant team member opens their Jira board, a Rovo Nudge appears with the pending suggestions from the meeting. Click the nudge to open Rovo Chat, review each suggestion individually, and apply. You can update a batch of work items in a few clicks instead of going ticket by ticket.

  1. Jira stays current with what the team actually decided

Work items reflect what was discussed in the meeting, not what someone remembered to update two days later. Statuses, assignees, priorities, comments – they all stay current.

  1. Works with any recorded meeting

Standups, sprint planning, design reviews, project check-ins. If it's recorded in Loom and work items come up in conversation, Rovo can generate suggestions for it. You can also connect a Loom recording to a Jira space after the fact if you missed the setup before the meeting.

How to get started

  1. Enable the Loom Note Taker for your meeting at loom.com/meetings

  2. Connect the meeting to a Jira space

  3. After the next recording, check the Rovo nudge on your board or the Loom post-meeting experience to view the suggestions

For admins: This feature requires Loom and Rovo to be enabled for your site. Rovo processes the meeting transcript to generate suggestions. It only surfaces updates for work items in the connected Jira space, and only to Jira users who were a part of the original meeting.
