What's new in Jira

With the new Projects filter in Jira, you can group work under a Project and connect the day-to-day work to the big picture.

Instead of typing out detailed prompts, soon you’ll be able to record a Loom to brief an agent. Combine what you say with what you show on screen so agents get the full context and deliver better results.

After a Loom meeting wraps, you’ll be prompted with suggestions to turn the transcript into action – pushing status updates and creating new work from what was discussed.

Admins will have a simpler way to keep Jira fields organized and consistent across spaces: manage field options more clearly, tidy up the choices people see on work items, and reuse shared field schemes instead of rebuilding configurations from scratch.

Jira's software timeline is getting a major upgrade. See all work items (subtasks included), edit inline, filter by sprint, bulk-update, and color-code – all in one view.

Boards are getting better, too! Faster loads, infinite scroll, inline editing, swimlanes, theming, and dev fields – all on one surface.

Describe your project or drop in what you already have – a brief, doc, Loom, image – and Rovo builds a Jira space with workflows, work types, and suggested first tasks to match.

Confluence pages, Loom videos, and file attachments will soon live together in one attachments panel on each work item. Instead of scanning different sections and tabs, you’ll see all the supporting context in one place, making it easier to understand the full story of the work.

Add ready-made agent automations that flag stalled work, send stakeholder updates, or surface what to work on next from your Space Summary tab.

Admins will be able to build more expressive templates with rich text descriptions, custom avatars, and embedded agents – making it even easier for teams to spin up new spaces that feel ready to use from day one.

An improved Assets custom field experience will make it easier to search, select, and manage objects on work items, with higher limits so teams can attach more of the devices, contracts, or records they rely on. Admins will keep things performant, while agents and teammates will get a smoother, faster way to work with Assets right in Jira.
